A nasty cut on Connor Berry’s leg by a tackle from one of the Stratton Young’s boys, which resulted in a trip to hospital by ambulance. This was just after the start of the second half. Because of a mix-up with the league and the Stratton Youth’s manager the game was awarded to Stratton Youth. This was obviously wrong. Thanks to Gary K for jumping on this with the league writing some strong but well worded letters the game has been changed to abandoned status and must be replayed.

Nigel has said that Connor is well on the mend now. Connor had seven stitches in the wound that to say the least was very deep.

- 4th January 2008 - Boots required for new training ground. Only Atro turf trainers, Not Moulded stud footy boots, can be used on the new training pitch. I will ask Gary for more information on this - look out for more info here.......

New training location and start/finish times as of this coming Thursday, 3rd Jan 2008.
Location: St. Josephs College (@ rear of the large Tesco's, Please click on link below, and then click on Contacts, to see map )
Start Time: 18:30
Finish Time: 20:30
(2hrs total training time)
Very Important: Please note that the pitch is Astro Turf, but similar to the old style astro pitches. Therefore, please send the boys to training wearing tracksuit bottoms initially for the first couple of sessions to give us time to ascertain whether their is any problems with pitch/astro burns (caused by sliding on the pitch ).
This was common way back in the early days of astro turf, so lets just play it safe for now and see how it goes!

- 25th October Training Cancelled because of a flood light failure at the Oasis sports centre. Not a very good start to the Astro training.
- Training start time change for the next 4 weeks - To make the most of the failing light from the 27th September until the 18th October the training will start at 6pm.
- From October 25th - We will be going to the Link Centre from Oct 25th, and the sessions are booked from 19.00 to 20.00, on Pitch number 1 (the new astro turf pitches outside, by the car boot market )
- 22nd September - Cup game at Highworth on Sunday 23rd Sept cancelled (they could not get a team together. This means we are in the next round already - well done boys!!!!
- 21st September - New site launched.
