From Margaret Rivers (North Wilts League) Entered on the 5th Feb 08
I would like to advise you of important dates for your diary – please ensure that your relevant club officials are advised of the following:
CUP FINAL DATES
It has been confirmed that we once again have been able secure the fantastic facilities at Swindon Town FC for our cup final competitions. The dates set for this are:
SATURDAY 26TH APRIL & SUNDAY 27TH APRIL
I am unable to confirm the running order as cup semi finals have not yet been concluded. Once the order is set this will be announced to all relevant teams.
Any team that is successful in reaching the cup finals will be expected to be available to fulfil their fixture. Any team not making themselves available will forfeit the final competition to the losing semi-finalist. No alternative date will be set or arranged for any team not fulfilling their obligation to the league.
MINI SOCCER EURO 2008 COMPETITION
Due to the fantastic success of the Mini Soccer World Cup tournament held by the league in 2006 it has been decided to run with a similar competition based on the 2008 Euro Competition. Applications will be on a first come first served basis and forms will be sent out to all clubs later this week.
This competition will only be available to under 7’s and under 8’s league clubs.
This competition will again be held at the County Ground home of Swindon Town Football Club and will run over 2 days:
SUNDAY 4TH MAY & MONDAY 5TH MAY
END OF SEASON LEAGUE WINNERS & RUNNERS UP TROPHY PRESENTATION
Contrary to the date currently published in the 2007/2008 handbook the date for the end of season presentation has been moved back from Sunday 18th May to:
SUNDAY 11TH MAY
This is been moved from 18th May due to conflict with room bookings and also to ensure availability of league officers.
The annual end of season trophy presentation is for all league winners and league runners-up teams at all age groups and each division running at that age group.
Should you require any further information please let me know.
Kind regards
Margaret Rivers
General Secretary
